My con report...

Ok, so not much of a 'report' Because those of you who know me well enough, know that I'm completely useless at remembering things off the bat. The best way for me to remember things is by people asking me questions. So this post is gonna be more of a con... account of events. :P

First off, I was so late in getting into Nottingham to meet mizz_magenta at the train station. So I was rushing through town, grabbing something to eat and when I went down I was waiting, munching on my food until I saw this person looking at me. It was Sally! So we walked through town, grabbed some cookies, grabbed some Chai Tea's from Starbucks and headed to my Car.
Drive down was fun. We talked about almost everything! From fics, Ship, RL, more ship, possible things that could happen in First Strike, Season 4. Just the usual.

Anyway we got to London and met up with Kelly. We went down into the foyer and there was a huge queue for David Hewlett photo ops. It was CRAZY! Needless to say, they all sold out before we got there.

Kelly and I went to the Meet&Greet on the friday night. And Kelly was sitting next to the seat that is left reserved for the guest and she didn't want to sit there! So we swapped. The guests came out one at a time. I can't remember in which order but we had Dan Payne, Ryan Robbins (who is cute!), Aaron Douglas was a suprise guest, Ivy Isenberg, then we had another suprise guest... and who did it turn out to be? CHUCK! The Chucknician!. Anyway :P
We had Erin Chambers, Kate Hewlett who is just such a lovely, amazing person. She's so sweet! We then had the people who write the Stargate novels, David Nykl! *hugs* and David Hewlett.
I swear, I've never heard people scream so loud when he came out. I don't think he realises how popular he is. Apparently, wolf have never completely sold out for a convention unil this one. And people from wolf told us that there wern't actually enough photo tickets for everyone attending. It was amazing.
So the guests came round to our table, Each one was so sweet. Erin Chambers looked at me and asked me if she'd seen me before. It was the first time I'd met her but she was convinced that we'd met before *lol* David Nykl was sweet as usual. He's really getting into the spirit of cons now compaired tot he first time we'd met.
Chuck came round to our table and asked us what we were looking forward to in season 4. We said that we were looking forward to his character finally getting a name. So I then shouted "CHUCK!" :P He laughed and said that actually, something funny like that happend in a scene that he and Torri were filming. He said it was torward the end of season 3 and that when they shouted action, he walked into Weir's office and torri looked up and saud "Hi Chuck". He said she just looked at him like she never even said it! So he carried on with the scene as normal and when they were finished, the director didn't even ask for a re-take. That they kept it in! He didn't know if it was in the final cut but he's hoping they did. And that thanks to Torri, he now has a name *LOL*
Dan Payne was just...lush. I mean that guy is just... Lush!
Ryan Robbins is cute as hell. :D
And when we met David, he told us about how he wasn't feeling well before the con and that Jane made him eat Oysters. and he kept saying that she gave him a "Dodgy Oyster" *LOL*
The best thing about that night was when this lovely old man came and sat down and asked us how we all were.
He then said to us that his daughter was marrying David.

It was Jane's dad and David's future Dad in law :D

He then brought out two pictures for us. One of him in his guest rol in 'The game' And the other picture was of him standing infront of the Stargate on the Atlantis set with Jane on one side and David on the other. I really can't say how sweet Jane's dad is. And I never knew that Jane is English. Go David for marrying a Brit! :D:P

We went to see Sally after and then headed off to the party. There was mucho dancing and drinking. I think we ended up going to bed at around 3am...ish? *LOL* I didn't actually get to sleep until around 4.30 I think and we had to get up at 6am.

The talks on Saturday were amazing. It's all just a blur right now. Me and Sally went to get our pictures with Dan and he picked me up! He grabbed me and picked me up! And he swung me round. :P Then he picked up Sally, and she should be so proud for getting her photo done with him when she was so nervous! :P

People should ask me questions about the talks since I can't reel stuff off right now. :)

We managed to get a photo ticket with David for the Sunday. We were so lucky. And you know what. I feel kinda privileged because when we went for the photo with him, the camera guy had to change films when I walked up so I was standing there with David. He asked me if it was ok if he went to get a drink. And I said yes, of course. Now, It turns out that most of David's Family were at the con. Not only Kate but their other sister, her husband and their child. And they were all sitting behind the camera watching. So when he went to get a drink, he went to his baby nephew and started pulling funny faces to him. It was so sweet! And when David came back, I was jst saying how sweet the baby was. He laughed and said that I'd be giggling all through their photo now. So, because he said that, I did start giggling and I said that his nephew was so sweet and he laughed. I can't believe how I managed to stop giggling enough to actually take that photo. I look quite normal. but David has this funny smile on his face. I'll scan the pic :P

Kelly and I got to witness the Hewlett/Loughman family portrait too while we were waiting for Kate. All the Family sat in for a picture. With David holding his Nephew on his lap. I can't tell you how sweet that was! I just wish I could have taken a photo for you all to see. And to see David and Jane holding hand was so cute! I'm so happy for them both. And I told David so while I was getting his auto. :P

The talks on Sunday were fantastic. David and Kate on stage together was so funny! They just kept taking the piss out of each other! David Nykl and Chuck Campbell on stage together was amazing. Some asked them if they had to be a piece of equipment on the show, what would they be. Chuck said he's want to be a vibrator! Don't ask. ;)

Dan Payne took his shirt off. Nuff said. :P

Ryan Robbins was being slated for pacing too much on stage. No one could get a photo of him because of it. So he started to run across for the fun of it. Untill someone came on the stage with some tape and stuck his feet down *dies*

Erin Chambers. She's so tiny! And she has a wonderful singing voice. :D

The auction was hilarious. Most of them were on stage and just having a laugh. Chuck was trying to up the price of a picture by rubbing himself all over it. I think David Hewletts comment to that was "I think I'm a little pregnant" :D

A signed picture of David and Kate went for something like £400. Kate couldn't believe it! The shock on her face was priceless. David was all like "This isn't an auction, it's a blood bath!"

For anyone who's seen 'A Dog's Breakfast' will know what this means... most of us were given some toothbrushes and a duck for David. :P

Erm... wow. There's so much more but I really can't think of anything else to put right now. It's so late and I'm still way too tired.

And one last thing. David was telling us about he fact that he's always being goofy right up until they start filming a scene. He said that some people need a few minutes to calm down and get into a role but he doesn't. And he was joking about he fact that it always puts Joe and Torri off because they're always like "What the?! Are we filming yet?" *LOL*

Questions people, questions! :D
