It's a good idea. I've been keeping fandom stuff filtered, because I know that some people take things personally -- not necessarily what I say, but sometimes what those on my flist say. The one time I stuffed up the filter.. well, let's just say I'm completely fandom free on my LJ, at least for now.

I'm all for people having their own opinions and saying what they want, especially in a locked, filtered post. Unfortunately some people don't seem to agree with that, and will pass things on.. Why is beyond me, especially when it's something they don't like: by repeating it, they're just perpetuating it.

Exactly. And I'll probably start filtering my posts too. There isn't anyone on my f'list I want or need to filter but there are a couple of people that aren't on my flist who know people who are etc. And there's info that I just don't want passing on. I'm not gonna be bitching about anyone on my f'list, because If I was, they wouldn't be on here anyway so there's no need to.

I don't want to have to be careful about what I say on my lj because it's my own space. But I think I'm gonna have to sometimes. However much I hate it.

I know. It shits me up the wall that you have to do these things. The thing that worries me the most is the business of people passing information someone leaves in my lj to another person, and then it going on from there. I've heard of some very 'interesting' things that have been discussed on the journals of people who aren't on my flist, but it's not something I've ever repeated..

It's a fact of life that some people on my flist like to speculate and gossip more than others. In an ideal world, you shouldn't have to "protect" people's feelings by filtering or cutting fandom stuff, but sadly sometimes you have to. That's why I'm out of it. I'm sick of the attitudes it stirs up.

hehe! It was pretty creepy. I seriously thought that old lady was gonna lean over and kiss me and Jess :P At least we made their day. ;) Though the old guy seemed as though he was just jumping on the "lets talk to the girls" bandwagon. :P

You know, funnily enough, I rarely came across brummies! I was surrounded by people from all over the country. One of my friends is a brummie though and it took some getting used to! Her accent isn't as bad as a lot I've heard though :P I will try to travel to Nottingham one day!
